Holidays

Holidays are about to be over and I am trying to finish as much work as I can. Right now I am alternating between mugging Cha Guan and reading The English Review. The upcoming clit test is probably my last chance to redemption from less-than-satisfying results in earlier tests. Yet lying on my desk is the ever-present copy of The English Review. How can I resist the temptation?

It is always better (at least for me) to experience the joys of appreciating literary works at your own pace, rather than get rushed into understanding lecture notes before you could even understand the text itself. So I’m rather glad that I’m not taking elit as a subject. If I did, I wouldn’t be picking up a copy of The English Review. Of course, professional guidance on understanding texts is welcomed, but only after you have developed some sort of affinity with it.

The mentors and mentees went over to science centre on Friday. Our last chance to hang out together! We had fun at the ecogarden and took a hell lot of pictures. After this the girls’ gang consisting of Abby, sf, Cherie, Rene, J and me, together with and the guys’ gang went over for lunch. Then the girls shopped around and took neoprints. Come to think of it, I’ve been misplacing neoprints these days. :-S Then I went k lunch-ing with mum and bro. We managed to screech our way for the few hours in there. Yay~

Got to go continue reading! =P
